I hate leaving bad feedback, but my unfortunate experience with this buyer has made me want to do so. I must admit, it was my fault for not inspecting the bolero more carefully for damages, but I don’t appreciate the way this buyer handled things. In my opinion, she over exaggerated the minor flaws and then demanded a $50 partial refund on the item. I was trying to be nice, and was more than willing to give a partial refund, but $50 was a way too much, taking in account the minor flaws of the bolero. I had personally never worn the bolero, and the previous seller had sold it to me saying it was in perfect condition, so I did the same. She also complained that I overcharged for shipping, but my standard shipping fee is $15, as are most LaceMarket sellers. I still felt badly for selling something with damages, so I ended up giving the buyer a $45 dollar refund. Even after I complied and did what she asked, the buyer left neutral feedback, and even said that I tried to “haggle” the refund. It was pretty outrageous to ask for $50 back on a $80 item! An item this old is bound to not be in perfect condition, and I think this buyer just wanted her money back. Not to mention this bolero is super rare. I think I’m just upset that the buyer acted entitled through the end of the exchange, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable selling to her again. [MOD edit: feedback left as neutral on both sides, bolero had multiple damages, both sides settled on partial refund on the item]
